lcdc employees are experienced in integrating military computer systems and supporting their testing in the field.

lcdc's personnel led contractor efforts supporting the U.S. Army Missile Command's P3I upgrade of the Avenger Air Defense System Fire Control Computer. This included leading the integration of the computer with new Avenger subsystems:

  • Passive Non-Cooperative Target Recognition Sensor Suite
  • GPS Receiver and Reporting Display
  • Turret Autoslew and Target Cueing Subsystems
  • Command and Control (FAADC2) Target Cueing Display

This work also included designing and developing the instrumentation van that was used to support range testing of the computer upgrade. Using this van and other range assets, our personnel led contractor support for the range tests conducted at Redstone Arsenal and White Sands Missile Range.

lcdc personnel also supported development, integration and field testing of the Army's Fiber-Optic Guided Missile (FOG-M/NLOS). This included developing real-time software for the Gunner's Station and Fire Control Computer and supporting integration of the system.
